Compliance Testing

CSA and ASTM Standards require compliance to performance requirements for the prevention of injury. CPA provides laboratory test certificates for testing at ambient temperatures for swinging element testing, pole vault landing mats and box collars, crash pads and other systems that are designed to be impact attenuating. For playground and sport fields CPA offers compliance inspections to CSA Z614 and ASTM F1936 and will provide certificates of compliance for those systems that meet the Standards. Compliance testing will utilize the Triax2010, Triax2015, depth, vertical change in level, and calibrate planarity gauges to accurately measure performance. Other probes and devices will be used where a specific standard requires.

To assist the user of the testing to better understand the performance of the inspections we are providing an outline of the procedures to perform an ADA playground inspection and the procedure and report content for a surface test to ASTM F1292 or ASTM F3313. We are also providing sample of a test report that contains all of the content required for the field testing report in ASTM F1292. This report is being made available under license to persons on the list of trained inspectors and it is recommended that particularly persons wanting inspections that would be reviewed by a government agency to use the standard form assist the reviewer with consistency in their work
